Organic shopping and virtual vegetable garden of real fruits: the Apps take to the field

LiveSano is an App that allows you to follow users' consumption preferences, but also to share points of sale and restaurants where you can find quality organic products. Its creator is called Alex Manzella, a student of Computer Engineering at the University of Genoa, who was awarded theHackathon of Science in the field, the competition parallel to the conference of the same name organized by the magazine Espansion which took place on Friday 30 November at Palazzo Isimbardi, the seat of the Province of Milan.

This is the reason for the award: "ViverSano is an App particularly suited to the mobile ecosystem, which combines the best of Twitter, Facebook and Trip Advisor in an easy and pleasant way to use. The jury also positively assessed the large amount of programming actually carried out ". The prize for the winner, delivered by the Councilor for Infrastructure of the Province of Milan Giovanni De Nicola, is a weekend in a European capital and the possibility of an itinerant paid internship in Elior, European leader in collective catering, main sponsor of the event Science in the Field.

The jury also appreciated the quality of the engineering architecture and the potential usefulness of the project BioAdvisor (developed by the team Ambientech, composed by Radu Cosmin Iftode, Paolo Acquaviva, Fabio Galeppi and Fabio Politi), a network that brings together restaurateurs, consumers, traders and producers, to certify organic products at zero km.

A special mention also went to the team Full Wipe (consisting of Valentina Lipari, Giovanni Meo and Vittorio Lazzaro) with FoodWise, an App for growers, markets and consumers. Appreciated in this case the great wealth of ideas and ideas, each of which deserves further development as an App in its own right. In particular, the virtually cultivated garden, which produces real fruit, and the anti-waste market, able to report offers on expiring products.

The Hackathon was attended by students of the Degree Course in Computer Engineering of theUniversity of Genoa, in Computer Engineering ofBologna University, students of the Master's and Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science of the Faculty of Science ofFederico II University of Naples.
